Microsoft Features Power Update at Gartner BI Summit

This week’s Gartner BI and Analytics Summit started off with and interesting bake-off between Tableau, Qlik, Microstrategy and Power BI from Microsoft.
Microsoft took an approach by showing March Madness statistics and providing tools to build your best bracket. Power Update from Power ON was presented as an integral part of the Power BI solution, where Power Update can email out, or publish updated dashboards as the original file, or converted to PDF attachments. |

| Jen Underwood defined a Job in Power Update that can schedule dashboards or reports to be distributed with a set of comprehensive features, from advanced scheduling, publishing to the web or emailing by attaching the original file, or a PDF.
The settings in Power Update allows you to publish your Microsoft Power BI models to anywhere with an easy-to use-interface. The scheduling can be done for Excel files with Power Queries. Power Pivot files with direct SQL connections, or Power BI Desktop files. You can read more, and get started with a free version if you click on the Products section in the menu.
